Here's a simple tutorial on how you can DIY the code cylinders carried by Imperial Officers on their uniforms...

The Real Deal

Parts Required

1) Aluminium Chalk Holder by Charles Leonard Inc

2) Allen Bolt or Automotive Decorative Bolt (Bolt head diameter is approx 8.5 mm)
3) Metallic Blue Paint (I used MrColor Hobby Paint)

Steps 1 & 2 : File off the white plastic cap of the chalk holder. Paint any remains of the cap chrome/silver. Move the pocket clip up and glue in place.

Step 3 : Screw on the allen bolt into the top of the chalk holder whilst using a thin rod to hold the nut in place inside the chalk holder.

Step 4 : Paint the bolt head metallic blue.

PS. The Aluminium Chalk Holder (Product #LEO74541) is not available locally. vpostusa can be an avenue to ship this item over from the States.

For those who are intending to piece together their Imperial TIE Pilot, Imperial Officer or Imperial Naval Trooper costumes, this is a good source for the buckle blank. You can get the 2-inch belt from it too.

The company is willing to ship internationally. Bring the prices lower by combining orders.

Tandy Leather now has a store in Australia which is likely to make it less costly to ship purchases to Singapore...
